Running Etiquettes
GENERAL
//
Must be 18 & up to participate.
If it’s dark outside, please wear reflective gear and/or lights for visibility.
Don’t be distracted by electronic devices that take your eyes and ears off the road.
When near roads, never assume the driver sees you. Make eye contact with drivers as they approach to make sure you are seen.
Stay hydrated.
MONDAY RUNS AT GOODTIME BAR
//
While waiting for the run to start, stand in the area closest to the building to keep the walking path free along the parking lot and fence.
Be mindful of traffic signals, especially if you're in front when running in a group. Also, be mindful of the people following you. Make sure they aren’t following you into oncoming traffic.
When you’re done running and waiting for other runners to finish, please don’t crowd the sidewalk. Gather off to the side or in the roped-off barriers.
If you’re enjoying wine after the run, stay within the roped off barriers when drinking and not on the outside of it.
If you plan on running with your dog, have the leash short enough so that your dog doesn’t impede or trip other runners.
SATURDAY MORNING RUNS
2nd & 4th Saturdays (Location Changes Every 3 Months)
While running on a path or trail, try to stay to the right side unless you’re passing someone.
If someone says “bike up” or “bike back,” this means that a bicyclist is coming towards the group from the front or the rear; be mindful. The same concept applies when someone calls out hazards on the path or trail. Please help other runners stay alert and safe.
